COMPOSITE BONDING

Composite bonding is a more economical alternative to porcelain veneers. The composite is made of a tooth-colored synthetic material and bonds firmly to teeth.

What Can Be Done?

• Restoring chipped or cracked teeth
• Closing diastemas (gaps or spaces between teeth)
• Replacing old or unsightly silver fillings with tooth-colored fillings
• Reshaping misaligned teeth
• Repairing root abrasion caused by aggressive brushing

Bonding can be easily applied in one visit, depending on your situation. Our dentists will place the bonding composite in needed areas, then harden it with a high intensity light. Once the composite has hardened, it can be shaped to look like a natural part of your teeth.

Bonded restorations are not as strong as porcelain veneers, and may need replacement approximately every five years.
