Composite bonding is a more economical alternative to porcelain veneers. The composite is made of a tooth-colored synthetic material and bonds firmly to teeth.
Bonding can be easily applied in one visit, depending on your situation. Our dentists will place the bonding composite in needed areas, then harden it with a high intensity light. Once the composite has hardened, it can be shaped to look like a natural part of your teeth.
Bonded restorations are not as strong as porcelain veneers, and may need replacement approximately every five years. Also, the bonding composite is quite brittle, and can chip if enough force is applied. If you wish to explore a more permanent solution with similar results, read more about porcelain veneers.
